At no phase do marketers or sponsors– who pay to associate their services or products with editorial material– have a say in which stories CNN covers, which individuals CNN interviews nor how we provide our editorial material on tv and/or online. Sponsors do not evaluate nor authorize any material prior to or after it airs or is released.

Editorial material, even when sponsored, is commissioned and produced exclusively by CNN editorial personnel or freelance professionals commissioned by CNN editorial personnel. It abides by the exact same editorial standards as non-sponsored short articles and video.
