Hurricane Ian made landfall this afternoon around 3:05 pm near Cayo Costa, Florida as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph.
The storm will continue through central Florida through at least Friday morning. Tropical storm warnings and Hurricane Watches have been extended into parts of Georgia and South Carolina ahead of Ian’s third and final landfall expected Friday.
