Cruise Industry News for Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
As Hurricane Ian develops into a major hurricane, Carnival Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line send letters to guests embarking later this week advising of potential delays. The United States Coast Guard has set port conditions for Tampa, Key West, Jacksonville, and Port Canaveral ahead of Hurricane Ian’s arrival on Florida’s Gulf Coast. As of October 1, Canada will drop its entry requirements for visitors coming into the country, this includes the ArriveCAN app. Alaska cruises and Canada/New England sailings from the United States and Canada are included in this new change. Carnival Luminosa, formerly Costa Luminosa, is out of the dry dock and is en route to pick up crew members before starting to cruise from Brisbane, Australia, this winter.
